My mother passed away in December 2004 and she had made very simple funeral arrangements however I wanted a few words to be said at her burial. Sue was recommended to me by a friend and I have to say she was brilliant. My dad was very hesitant about having someone come in that he didn’t know and read my mother’s funeral. Sue is so lovely, friendly warm and likable. It didn’t seem to be hard work we just talked about my mum what she liked what she did who her friends were and Sue Came back with the reading that she had written from the information we’ve given her. On the day she was extremely professional read the poem beautifully and I feel very sure my mum would’ve been very proud. Having Sue as our celebrant was very comforting because she also had a personal connection with our loved one.
Sue was sensitive to our needs and helped us to create the kind of celebration of his life that we wanted and that he would have approved of. Sue was incredible. I really don’t know how we would have gotten through the day without her. She spoke with the funeral home and the crematorium. She spent hours with us making sure she wrote a personal and meaningful eulogy. She offered suggestions and advise. I genuinely don’t know how I would have coped without her. Sue did such a lovely service for my Dad. She was so kind and showed lots of patience while the family sorted out what we wanted to say. It was a lovely thoughtful touch to receive a poem about Dad at the end of the service. I hope Sue is around and doesn't mind traveling to Kent to do mine when the time comes. From first meeting with Sue to arrange my brother's funeral service she was so warm and comforting. Helped us make the decisions with care , made sure we had the perfect send off and all the minor details were included. Even after the funeral she's kept in contact checking in, and that shows what a thoughtful, caring person she is.
